Exhibitions

When working with our exhibition, we take into account age, gender, cultural background, interests, and various functional impairments.

Content

The choice of pictures, texts, objects, films, sound recordings, lighting and other factors should make it easier for visitors to understand the content, and take part in the exhibitions. It’s easy to access the films and recordings at the exhibitions. The multimedia stations are easy to understand and use, and are accessible for those in manual or powered wheelchairs. The display cases are designed so that as many people as possible can see their content. Our exhibitions have texts that explain the objects shown and place them in their context.

Difficult topics for young children

Although the exhibitions at the museum are produced for a varied audience, they include difficult topics about war and weapons that can be frightening, especially for young children.

When you take along children to the museum, our mascots, Drakel and Viggo, will act as their guides, pointing out things of special interest to our youngest visitors, both in the exhibits, and in Flyglabbet, the museum’s science centre. Feel free to contact us if you would like specific information about the content of our exhibitions.

Defibrillator

One of the exhibitions at the Air Force Museum contains equipment that creates powerful electromagnetic fields. These can affect, and cause malfunctions in, persons with surgically placed defibrillators.
