You can test various techniques and perform scientific experiments at the Science Centre (Fenomenmagasinet) in Gamla Linköping, or follow the dizzyingly rapid development of the computer as the IT-ceum, which you can find at the Östergötland County Museum.
The Science Centre (Fenomenmagasinet) – the joy of discovery for all ages
In the middle of the Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum, there’s something that resembles a sugar works storage building. Although there has not been any sugar there for a long time, there are almost 200 different experiment stations that draw thousands of visitors each year.
The purpose of the Science Centre is to interest people of all ages in science and technology.
The IT-ceum – a computer museum
The IT-ceum is Sweden’s museum of computer-related history. The museum opened in 2004, as a cooperation project of Linköping University and the Municipality of Linköping.
The exhibits show from many perspectives, a past, present and future in which computers have played and play an important role. Visit the exhibits on computers and how they have changed our lives.
