This photography exhibition is inspired by the wonderful journey of Nils Holgersson through Sweden, as recounted in Selma Lagerlöf’s 1906 children’s book, "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" and features beautiful aerial shots and informal texts that reflect 100 years of change.
Photos and commentary
The trip is documented from an ultra-light plane known as a trike, by journalist Anders Wallén and photographer Roine Magnusson. The pictures show the traces of human efforts. The straight lines of the agricultural landscape, messy backyards, gravel pits, roads, and football pitches. The great forests and the tamed rivers. Comments from the ground about people and interesting places, add substance to the beautiful pictures.
